TradeBinder ("we," "our," or "us") operates the TradeBinder platform (the "Service") at tradebinder.gg. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By using TradeBinder, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing)
• Account creation date and last login information

2.2 Collection Data

To provide our Service, we collect and store:

• Cards in your collection (including quantities, variants, and conditions)
• Purchase prices and dates for cards
• Collection names and descriptions
• Wanted cards lists

2.3 Trade Profile Information

If you create a public trade profile, we collect and may display:

• Trade preferences (shipping, meetup availability)
• Location information (city, state, postal code) - only if you choose to share it
• Preferred meetup spots
• Profile bio and shipping notes
• Cards you want to trade and cards you're looking for

2.4 Trade Activity

We collect information about your trading activity:

• Trade offers you create and receive
• Trade history and status
• Messages and communications related to trades
• Images you upload for trade offers

2.5 Payment Information

For paid subscriptions, we use Stripe to process payments. We collect:

• Stripe customer ID (we do not store credit card numbers)
• Subscription tier and status
• Billing history

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full payment card details.

2.6 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use our Service:

• IP address and browser type
• Pages visited and features used
• Date and time of access
• Device information

2.7 API Usage (Elite Tier)

If you use our API, we collect:

• API key identifiers
• API request logs (endpoint, timestamp, response status)
• Request counts for rate limiting

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve our Service
• To process your account registration and manage your subscription
• To enable trading features, including matching you with potential trade partners
• To display your public trade profile (if you choose to make it public)
• To calculate collection values using current market prices
• To send you service-related communications (notifications, updates, security alerts)
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud or abuse
• To comply with legal obligations
• To analyze usage patterns and improve user experience
• To share your wishlist data with vendors who may have cards you're looking for (see Section 4.5)

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Public Trade Profiles

If you create a public trade profile, the following information is visible to anyone who visits your profile link (tradebinder.gg/t/yourcode):

• Cards you want to trade
• Cards you're looking for
• Your trade preferences (shipping, meetup options)
• Location information (only if you choose to display it)
• Your profile bio

You can control what information is displayed in your profile settings.

4.2 Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate our Service:

• Supabase: Database hosting, authentication, and backend infrastructure
• Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions
• Vercel: Website hosting and content delivery

These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and only use it for the purposes we specify.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to:

• Legal processes (subpoenas, court orders)
• Government requests
• To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
• To prevent fraud or abuse

4.4 Business Transfers

If TradeBinder is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4.5 Wishlist and Demand Data

We may share your wishlist and wanted card data with third parties, including card shops, vendors, distributors, and other business partners. This helps connect you with sellers who have the cards you're looking for. Shared data may include:

• Cards on your wishlist or wanted list
• General location information (city/region, if you've provided it)
• Your TradeBinder username or profile link

We do not share: your email address, full address, collection contents, collection value, purchase history, or other personal account information with these partners.

If you do not want your wishlist shared with vendors, you can disable this in your account settings (coming soon) or remove cards from your wishlist.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

• Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure password hashing (we never store plain-text passwords)
• Row-level security policies in our database
• Regular security audits and updates
• Access controls limiting employee access to personal data

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Correction

You can access and update most of your information through your account settings.

6.2 Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through your account settings. When you delete your account, we will:

• Delete your personal information (email, profile data)
• Delete your collections and trade history
• Cancel any active subscriptions
• Retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes)

6.3 Location Information

You can control whether your location information is displayed on your public trade profile. You can also choose not to provide location information at all.

6.4 Public Profile

You can make your trade profile private or delete it at any time through your settings.

6.5 Data Portability

You can export your collection data in a standard format. Contact us at support@tradebinder.gg to request a data export.

7. Children's Privacy

TradeBinder is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Users under 18 should have parental permission before using our Service, especially when engaging in trades that may involve meeting in person or shipping items.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to:

• Provide our Service to you
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
